Re: Scooter died on me!!!

Get it back home and have a look at it. You may find a similar one with crash/front end damage and be able to salvage an engine from it. There are some generic engines fitted across a range of scooters so don't fixate on getting exactly the same model.

Piston and rings are cheap enough

Re: Scooter died on me!!!

Is it a two stroke or four stroke scooter? what engine size, make and model?
It sounds like its seized ok, but if its a two stroke it can be cheap enough to get it going again.

Re: El Canuelo, near Periana is open again!

I agree with the underwhelming aspect. We went last year for lunch on a late spring Sunday. The outside tables were infested with wasps making it next to impossible to eat. When we eventually moved inside I found it really lacking atmosphere.
Would not go back.

Try contacting Movistar. It is possible to receive MMS without a data package, but the phone co must 'throw the correct switch'.

Re: Overnight stay near Malaga Airport

It can also be quite difficult to get into the car hire area in the airport because it is in the arrivals area. You can't access the arrivals area from the normal airport access points. It seems to be necessary to go through the parking garages and into the car hire desks through the 'back door' whe...

Re: Dirt bike question.

He could be right. A dirt bike is designed for off road and the settings for off road just will not work properly on road. Presuming that wheel balance is ok, have you checked the steering bearings? Is it new or used bike? If its used then the previous owner probably set the bike up for his own use ...

Could you put some 'pressure' on the tenant to with-hold some of the monthly rent and pay it to the community against the arrears?

Re: Mobile phone foto text problem

It is also to do with phone settings and operator settings. I cannot receive pix on my Samsung s2 unless I have the data connection turned on. my wife can receive pix on her nokia without a data connection, though I had to contact the operator to get it set that way

Baby safety gates for stairs

On our next visit our 21 month old grand-daughter will be with us. We are a bit worried about the stairs and want to get some safety gates to limit her explorations. Can anyone tell me where I can get them in the Torre del Mar area? I did look in eroski during our last visit and didn't see them on d...

Re: New Daily Train Service to El Chorro and Ronda

Thanks Masterob

with tarjeta dorada the price is €8.05 each way, so it is well worth spending the €5.05 to get the tarjeta. It only took me a few minutes to get one at Malaga MZ station and I was able to use it straight away. Only needed passport.

Masterob, I don't seem to be able to get it on the Renfe site. Ronda isn't listed in the drop down menu. I also tried the Malaga Cercanias menu.
