Re: Mt first ITV

Lots of useful information on this thread.

Our car is due for first ITV this month - one thing I am not clear about -will we be sent anything to confirm that ITV is due or is it up to us to set the ball rolling by making ITV appointment?

Thanks

Re: Stone ground Wholemeal flour

Hi Maybe you could try selling in the Herboristas/health food shops? (sorry if spelling is wrong)-pm me if you want me to ask in the one in Algodonales-they have quite a few flours there. Also if you send me a pm with a short flyer about the flour I'll publicise amongst the people I know who bake th...

I get my dog's anti tick collar from the local co-op-MUCH cheaper than our vet.

children travelling without parents

My daughter aged 10 (British born, Spanish resident) will be traveling from Jerez to Madrid with Ryan Air later this month. She will be traveling with a school friend and her schoolfriend's mother. Do I have to provide her with any kind of documentation other than her ticket/boarding pass/passport? ...

Re: lawyer needed

Thanks. The reason I didn't google Jool is that I wanted a recommendation as I have no experience of this kind of thing. My friend's partner is based in UK and they have a place in Spain where she lives which is why I thought a lawyer with UK /Spanish experience might be helpful.

lawyer needed

A friend of mine urgently needs advice from a lawyer about dissolving a long-term partnership (not married). Please post or pm me the name and contact details of a UK qualified lawyer who is based in Spain. Thanks

Re: Restaurants in Cadiz and Jerez

We had a wonderful meal last weekend at the Sabores restaurant in Jerez. Good regional ingredients but done in original ways, for example fantastic foie gras with balsamic vinegar jelly and plums. The restaurant is near the Flamenco museum and in the Hotel Chancelerilla -the owners made us very welc...

Re: Swimming Pool in Ronda?

Ronda pool has public opening on Sunday mornings 11-2 I think. There is also a new indoor pool at Villamartin -from Montecorto follow signs to Algodonales and Jerez and take the 3rd exit to Villamartin. Haven't been there yet myself but reports are that it's nice. If you come to Algodonales there is...

Re: Getting bulbs to grow in pots

May be a duff batch ? I planted bulbs in pots outside and in the beds and most of them are up now. I bought some snowdrops in Austria and none of them have come up yet. :( The other ones that are not appearing yet are tulips which are usually the last the appear. May be best to buy some that have co...

Leche de Arroz?

I have found that Cortes Ingles/Hypercor are good for this kind of thing-they have a large section of gluten/wheat/dairy free products (I use the one in Jerez). Mercadona are also starting to stick certain items. You could also try your local herborista/health food shop.

Re: "Food" at Malaga Airport

I agree that the food upstairs is overpriced. I sometimes have a couple of hours to kill at Malaga airport when someone gives me a lift. I go to the little restaurant to the left of Burger King, through the Spanish style cafeteria. It is bright, nice and quiet in there and the service is very good. ...

Re: red sauce for Lasagne

I often add a tablespoon of ground pimiento (dulce) when I am frying the mince with onions and garlic. If you want more of a kick use the picante version. You can find it in most shops with the herbs and spices -I like the little red tins too .
