Re: Is the spanish economy really this bad?

I don't know enough about economics to really comment on that, but I do know about getting attention online, and the best way to do that is to write something controversial, whether it's true or not, whether it's what you really believe or not. That seems to be what the writer's done. Since I can't...

Re: she wants to go back to UK

I often get homesick, especially for my boys and I often return for a visit.
After a week at home I can't wait to get out of the bloody place....

Re: Problems with MAPFRE

I have Mapfre for my Bike and car and I've had to use them a couple of times in emergencies and found them to be excellent. However as a renter, I don't have home insurance so I don't know what their service is like on that front. My impression is that they are a motor insurance specialist. I'm curr...

Re: La Concha mountain

Ach, thats just terminology; a walk, a hike , a climb, a trek, you know what I mean. After todays walk/hike/trek/climb I can tell you that anything over 300 meters is an epic. I'm so unfit its unreal and I have a walking program starting in 3 weeks where I'll be hiking three times a week, every week...

Re: ETA

It's great news. The nationalists are suffering badly because of the violence. They lost power last year to a Socialist/Conservative PSOE/PP coalition and have been out of the power for the first time since the fascists left town. Most self-respecting nationalists would have nothing to do with parti...

Re: La Concha mountain

1200mtrs is definately a mountain. It sounds like a nice walk.
I was on top of El Fuerte (again) this morning. Its only 1000mtrs but you feel like you have climbed a mountain.
I think I'll try La Concha if I'm down that way again.

Answer: Because its always been called Batan!" :!: Some suggest is an old Arabic word. One guy mentioned the idea of it being a place for working leather in th...
