Wicksey, I don't have a lot of experience of BA short haul, but a few weeks ago I booked two returns Malaga-Gatwick for the end of November, at a lower cost than both EasyJet and Norwegian.

Rugby Legend
Any Rugby Union addict like me must have been saddened by the death of Colin Meads (Sir). An absolute giant of the game in every way. I briefly met him once; great bloke. Wish there were more like him.

Re: Long Term Airport Parking
Costa, they only ask for dates and car matricula - no credit card details, no address or phone.
Country boy, that's encouraging. I had already thought if there was no room at the inn I would bite the bullet and head for P1.

Re: Ryanair yet again!
Maybe if more of us complained a bit more we wouldn't have to suffer the c****y levels of service which seems to be the norm these days. You've still not answered my question Stevemul.

Re: Ryanair yet again!
Thanks stevemul, yes it is my choice. When I go on holiday I choose to take decent clean clothes with me, and things like toothpaste, shaving gear, etc etc, so I don't seem too much like the average british yobo when I am visitor to another country, with my trusty laser pen for pilot blinding when I...

Re: Long Term Airport Parking
No Costa, that's what bothers me.
You don't pay anything when you book. When you arrive at the site you get a "ticket" from the office, then when you return and pick up the car, you take your "ticket" back to the office and then pay.

Re: Ryanair yet again!
I'm more a Fan than a Knocker, but ......... Website advises to arrive 3 hours before departure, but they continue to respond to enquiries by confirming desks will still only open 2 hours before departure so you can't go airside any quicker than the norm !!!! What is the point of that ? What is to b...

Long Term Airport Parking
Can anybody confirm, if you make an online booking in the Long Term car park at AGP, is a space guaranteed to be available when you arrive ? I can't see anything on the website which points either way, but I know there is no payment made until you leave the car park on your return. My worry is that ...

Airport/breakfast
Does anyone know if there is a café at AGP, after security clearance, where you can get a simple Spanish breakfast - toasted baguette, oil and tomato. Don't usually fly at early hours from choice, but had no option the last couple of times, and have another early start to Bratislava in two weeks. Si...

Re: Amazon.....CO.UK
I've been on the UK site twice this week, and placed orders both times without a problem, without using a VPN or DNS. Also, they confirm the orders and delivery details by email to our Spanish email address.

Re: 2017 quieter on CDS ? (San Pedro / Estepona)
Been in San Pedro since 2004, and never experienced busier summers than last year's and this one. Roads busy, Portillos full with long queues, cabs busy, shops busy, and having to book tables in places you don't normally. Good for the local economy, lots of dosh sloshing around.

I'm sure I could get by ok without access to this forum, but I couldn't get by if all my internet banking and savings accounts were got at and swiped, that's what concerns me.

Google 1984 ??
Not sure how I feel about this. Yesterday, we booked a couple of short breaks over the internet, and received the usual emails, confirming dates, venues and flights. This morning, my wife was checking her calendar on her smartphone, and was amazed to find all those details of both trips, including f...

Re: Surveyors in Torre Del Mar
Depends very much what you are looking for from a "surveyor". If you want a basic structural survey such as a Chartered Surveyor would provide in the UK, or a survey in greater detail from a Structural Engineer, you might not find it so easy. It is not the norm in Spain to have a survey be...

TV News Reporting
Am I just getting a bit grumpy in my old age or, has anyone else felt the same concerns ? I really feel uncomfortable lately about levels and style of coverage given to news items which concern tragic events. The BBC and ITV are bad, but SKY are the worst offenders by a mile. Reports of the recent t...

Expat fate ?
Looks like, according to the FT, UK expats will be left dangling in Brexit talks (if they ever start). They report that one of the first offers the UK will make is to secure the rights of EU nationals already in the UK. The EU will reportedly be unable to reciprocate at this time (conveniently forge...

Patricia, I meant you could pay the bill by Internet Banking, not your friend. That's assuming you have such a facility of course.
