Re: Easyjet

I have booked my return flight for mid September to fly from Bristol to Madrid. Instead of a choice of one flight per day easyJet is only flying on two days. Fingers crossed. However, when I went to the page for the virus/immigration forms to hand in on arrival in Madrid the page was ‘not secure’ an...

Re: Easyjet

Sometimes it seems that the easyjet booking site is run from a small, crowded office somewhere in the back of beyond in Asia.

Re: NHS sharing your data

   So the NHS wants to share my data with various, unnamed and unspecified people, or companies, for research purposes. Is that The Bill Gates Foundation, do you suppose? I wonder how much money they get for each persons data?

Re: Coronavirus

All very true, DA but I am happily at the home of my parents and will see what unfolds. Had I come to the UK with a holiday and hotels in mind I would not be a happy bunny right now. I don't think this upsurge in cases is a second wave. It's still the first one that, after all, never went away. It w...

Re: Travel to the UK

I am keeping a close eye on things such as the increase in cases in the under 40s, mainly asymptomatic, and the spikes in holiday places like Marbella. Some of these are linked to family parties but, nevertheless, they are spikes. I really do not think there will be another total lockdown anywhere b...

Re: Travel to the UK

Olive, the motor home is still the target eventually. In the end I decided to fly. My own belief is that this virus is not that easy to catch. Washing hands and distancing, for me, are key and I did both. I keep a positive mind, although it would be easy to succumb to paralysingly fear but I’m not g...

Re: Travel to the UK

Bus up to Madrid had 10 people, well-spaced, on it (well-spaced geographically and not the other way). I remembered to walk up the bus steps without holding on to the hand rail and touched nothing that was not my book and bag. Long line of bored taxi drivers in Madrid who are fed-up and worried that...

Re: Coronavirus

Is everyone completely insane? Side effects may take years to show up. They may also show up in subsequent generations. Has everyone REALLY lost the plot?

I can see I am going to be more confused than usual!

I'll keep you posted as to what I see and experience, first-hand — but only if it's interesting.

Re: Coronavirus

Something we can all agree on, surely — "Not everyone who meets a flu virus gets the flu. The viruses are not the cause but the trigger of an inner process in an organism with a weakened immune system. We are literally constantly surrounded by bacteria and viruses. Someone with a healthy immune syst...

You are right, Sid. It seems the 'advice' that goes with the form hasn't been updated.

Is this Spain's most corrupt family?

I have been following this story for YEARS. The only thing I cannot understand is how they didn't manage to buy the judge. I know it's not an Andalucian story per se but Andalucia has it's own corruption problems — as has every other part of Spain. Maybe, if every member of this family goes to real,...
