Re: Safari not working properly after update

OH's iPad mini hasn't got a problem either. I've temporarily reverted to Chrome, but it's a pain when you've got used to one browser. I'm sure there's a simple way but how do you search for something on a page in chrome? - iPad equivalent of control f.

Safari not working properly after update

I updated my iPad to iOS 9.3 this afternoon and now Safari isnt working properly. I can select mailboxes and messages in hotmail, but when I go to any website and try to click on a link nothing happens eg I went to pricerunner, searched for a vacuum cleaner (this all worked ok) but when I try to cli...

Glossary of car terms

I don't think this has been posted before, but well worth a look. We were looking for technical terms for speaking to a garage, and found this https://www.ase.com/medialibrary/images ... ersion.pdf

It's 54 pages long and has every conceivable translation you could wish for.

Re: Thumbs up for Velez-Malaga?

I agree with FaL. Although we don't live in Velez, but in the campo about 15km away, we go there at least 3 times per week. There's almost everything you want in the shopping line, plenty of well priced restaurants and bars and the people are very friendly. Don't be put off by its "Spanishness". I k...

Re: Kitchen Cupbord Doors

We had ours made to size at a local ferreteria. Exactly the sizes we wanted with hinge holes drilled wherever you wanted. Very competitive prices and a massive range of finishes. Unfortunately, they're in Torre del Mar which is a long way for you but I'm sure there must be others more local to you w...

So does that mean it's not correct that you shouldn't use a 10w charger with something which comes with a 5w charger?

Re: iPhone

We had a problem and had to go to the Apple Store in Marbella. I asked her about the chargers as we've got several now, an iPad Air, iPad mini, iPhone and iPod. They told me that I could use iPad mini charger for phone and iPod, but shouldn't regularly use iPad Air charger with the others as its hig...

Re: Was Marsala Palace, now Budha Palace.

We went yesterday. We enjoyed the meal, and like others have said, it's a big menu, but no fish at all, which was disappointing. The service was very good. I think overall I prefer the Taste of India in Nerja, near the big car park/feria ground, but last time we looked it only opens in the evening, ...

Re: rug/bed linen Velez or Torre?

Place at top of Calle Cervantes in Velez has a small but very nice selection of rugs. It's called Espejo. They also sell eiderdowns and bed throws but not sheets. Don't forget Spanish pillowcase sizes are different from English. Take a look at La Redoute as well. They've got a good selection. http:/...

Re: Free banking revisited

The ING Account looks good, and I'm thinking of changing since Cajamar charge what they like nowadays. Just a couple of questions 1. Is there a Spanish equivalent of the bank account transfer service here, rather than having to do everything manually? 2. One for Terry - how do you pay money into the...

Re: Buying a TV or hifi around Estepona

Mediamarkt have a good website and quite a few shops around, although I think your nearest is probably Malaga, but you can see on their website what they've got, to save you a wasted trip if they don't have what you want. http://www.mediamarkt.es

Re: Upholstery in Fuengirola - Marbella area

I can recommend someone near the airport. Michelle, who used to work for Palacio de las Telas, now has her own business, selling very well priced fabrics, and she also does upholstery. She has some examples of what she has done in the shop and it looks good. Her fabrics start at 5euros per metre. I ...

Re: "Tethering" a Smartphone

Resurrecting open old thread since i was going to use this title anyway! I'm currently with Hits mobile and it's fine apart from the fact that even with a tariff with limited internet it doesn't allow tethering. I see Movistar have one, but I want a provider with a month long contract. Anyone have a...

Re: German smokehouse

Last time we were there it was entirely German. But they did have a big range, including a variety of herrings. Smoked fish is one of the things I really miss here. Other than smoked salmon and a bit of smoked trout and cod, I haven't found anything. And what there is is all thinly sliced. No pieces...

German smokehouse

Just been to Torrox Costa for lunch and the smokehouse seems to have disappeared. Has it gone altogether or just moved?
