Re: Meeting place in Marbella?

Not too late at all, thank you. It sounds ideal

Is it easy to find from the N340?

Re: Meeting place in Marbella?

Thanks. I should have said though that I need somewhere not too busy. My dog is a rescue dog and still a"work in progress". If there are too many other dogs around on leads he gets over excited.

My project for this summer is to get him socialised, but for this meeting I need to keep him calm.

Meeting place in Marbella?

I need to meet someone in Marbella to collect a dog that I will be re-homing. The dog needs to get along with mine, so ideally I would like to meet somewhere where we can walk the dogs together as that is the best way to introduce them. Neither of us know the area so we need somewhere easy to find. ...

Re: Translation needed urgently please

Thank you Gruff.

I'm afraid I've not heard anything at all. Sadly I am going to have to stop leaving food out as when I got home today her dish was swarming with ants. :(

Re: Teaching Qualification

The one in Spain doesn't have the ten day requirement. It is full time and you would be based in a school and doing the study online. You would need to secure your school placement and would probably not be paid for it, although you could probably pick up some private lessons. If you are very lucky,...

Re: What can I do with Alfie?

Yes, just a distraction device. That looks like something that you have to operate yourself, so it would only be useful when you are with the dog. It would possibly be ok for out walking. The thing is that if the chickens are straying onto your land, there isn't going to be a great deal you can do. ...

Re: Teaching Qualification

Yes, known as a PGCE. There is one that can be taken in Spain, which qualifies you to teach in International schools and in private schools in the UK, but not UK state schools. I think it is run by Nottingham Uni. Otherwise a PGCE taken in the UK will qualify for both countries. I do know that if yo...

They will need the same qualification as a UK teacher.

Re: What can I do with Alfie?

Gerry's solution is good and not as barbaric as it sounds. I had to resort to one of these to keep a couple of Houdini's from escaping and controlling the local cat population. It only tales a couple of shocks for the dog to learn what's what and if you try it out on yourself you'll see that it is r...

Re: German SHepherd pup needing a new home (photo)

I saw this too late. :( I've arranged to meet a GSD tomorrow with a view to adopting her. She has leish so really needs someone to take her, otherwise I would have had Paco. He's absolutely beautiful!

If for any reason the one I'm seeing doesn't get along with the one I've got, I'll let you know.

Re: Translation needed urgently please

Thank you Julie. She went missing in the campo at La Noria. I've put posters up on the nearest bins and at the venta nearby. She has very distinctive markings so would be quite easy to spot. Unfortunately as she is so timid, I think she'll stay well away from people. I'm guessing she'll be able to hu...

Re: Translation needed urgently please

Yes, sorry. It is a smallish, pretty cat, black and white. Black mask over her eyes, patch under the chin and a black patch on each knee. She can be seen on this Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/axarquianimalrescue?fref=ts White chest and tummy and black on her back. She has no collar or chip ...

Re: Just dreadful. Please share.

Thanks. The dog isn't mine, I just shared the post everywhere I could think of that may have readers in that area. It is just such a heartless thing for anyone to do to this dog and her family. I went to bed in tears last night.

Just dreadful. Please share.

This is just so awful. Please if you are on FaceBook or anywhere that you can share this info, please do to try and get this poor wee dog back. The owners must be devastated! I know its a long shot but if anyone can help. We live in Atalaya and this afternoon we arrived home to find our house broken...

Re: It is the time for suicides

How awful!

I always dread the summer when the A level results come out as there are usually reports of suicides then.

I know quite a few people who have had close family members commit suicide and it is so devastating!

Re: Changing of doctor

Started to do the process using the wrong browser and couldn't complete it within the specified time, but was unable to cancel the process. Lady at the tax office told us we had done everything correctly and couldn't understand the problem. Just gave up in the end really as other matters were more p...
