Re: Should I reply to this?

It's not a scam but the way Gmail (Googlemail) formats it's email addresses so anyone sharing a similar name to you also having a Gmail account needs to be extra careful that you don't end up with each others emails. (There's even a help article hidden away in Gmail covering this subject) For exampl...

Re: El Dorado set info please.

http://goo.gl/maps/db1g http://www.ciudaddelairsoft.com/espanol/ Couple of links for you. We went for a look a couple of years ago now but the immediate roads near the set are quite beaten up and we decided we weren't that bothered after all and carried on elsewhere. (If you look at the Google map t...

Re: Running Processes ?

It's been years since I used XP but you just need to type "MSCONFIG" in the "Run.." box instead.

Re: Running Processes ?

Depends on exactly what it is you want to stop. In your case it sounds like MSCONFIG would be where you want to stop them from loading when you start Windows. Depending on what version of Windows you're using go to the search box and type "MSCONFIG", press enter and click on the "Startup" tab. There...

Re: Deleting pages in a document.

If I was you I'd download the pdf plugin for Word and save it as a pdf file instead.

I wouldn't really be that concerned about some blank pages.

Just make sure your hand luggage is within the size and weight restrictions (Not that I've ever seen them weigh it but they do sometimes check the size).

Re: Transferring data from external hard drive

Your problem here is a combination of a GPT Partition and your operating system, Windows XP. As far as I know, or at least as far as I can remember, XP (x86 and x64) has no support at all for GPT Partitions. You best bet it to re-attach the drive to your Vista machine, transfer the files from the ex...

Re: iphone ?

It's worth noting that while it's perfectly possible to connect some portable speakers to the iPhone via a standard 3.5mm jack that unless the speakers are powered externally (batteries or mains) that the volume will be extremely low as the iPhone obviously doesn't have an inbuilt headphone amp and ...

Re: Numpty! What exactly is Amazon please?

I've never ordered anything that wasn't in stock DA so I can't really be of much help where that is concerned. However I did order some books at the start of last week and opted for free delivery which normally takes 5 days (give or take a couple). Although Friday had arrived and no books had arrive...

Re: Numpty! What exactly is Amazon please?

Amazon is an online retailer that recently allowed traders to create accounts and sell items via the Amazon website (think eBay). Let's say you wanted a Toaster. If it's a particularly popular toaster then the same item may be sold by various sellers but if it's being sold by Amazon themselves it wi...

That's more like what he was referring to. Quick and easy.

Simply attach the IDE harddrive, molex power connector and the other end into a spare USB socket.
