Re: What's your thoughts on this,?

Looks like your average cheap thrown together website selling something without actually telling you what you're getting. No physical details of the item itself, loads of "reviews", "special offers", and all together crap to use a technical term. Give me 30 minutes and I'll knock up a similar websit...

Re: Question re website building

What type/genre of website would require a virtual dedicated server? There's no genre or type of website that would specifically require a VPS. It is however cheaper than renting a dedi server and retains most of the advantages, independent OS, ability to install your own choice of software and so ...

Re: Promoting Andalucía (while Cocking it Up)

My crystal ball is on the dishwasher so I've no idea how many visitors they attract, size and/or number of databases they use let alone bandwidth. However I can tell you that one of my modest websites/forums* is currently costing circa £750 a month in hosting fee's so I'm guessing theirs is going to...

It would probably be quicker for you to Google "mywebsearch" Ken and see for yourself rather than me to explain here.

Re: Enrique and other PC wizzards. Spec me a machine please.

Just to demonstrate what I was saying about the board I suggested, and to remove the last shred of doubt you may have, take a look here - http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=e7Zic83PvQSr80Lm On the right click on "CPU support list" and you'll see the all the cpu's it supports including the i5 vari...

Re: Enrique and other PC wizzards. Spec me a machine please.

One quick question please. I'll certainly mention if we could swap the motherboard but do you think if we did that I'd still be able to keep the i5 processor with a cheaper one? There's loads of LGA1156 boards out there with P55, H55, H57 chipsets all of which will support the i5 processor. Your gu...

Re: Enrique and other PC wizzards. Spec me a machine please.

Compared to the previous spec you posted this is less powerful (Older generation dual core processor, older socket type, older chipset, DDR2 rather than DDR3 etc..) I'd personally avoid places like Comet, Currys, PC World and so on as they're PC's will be built on a budget using cheaper generic comp...

Re: A bit of urgent ebay help again please.

You may already know about this DA but I use this when creating my auctions - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/turbo_lister/

It makes life a lot easier and setting the "buyer requirements" is so easy with this tool.

Re: A bit of urgent ebay help again please.

This is of little use now but next time you can select certain "buyer requirements" and block people from bidding if they are not within areas you've listed as posting items to. To edit a current listing do this - To edit listings: 1. Go to My eBay. 2. Click the Selling link on the left side of the ...

Both links in that thread work fine in Firefox 3.6.10 for me so it's probably a FF plugin/add-on causing your error.

Re: Enrique and other PC wizzards. Spec me a machine please.

As Enrique suggested I wouldn't skimp on video memory either. On the flip side also don't assume that a card with more memory is better either than a different model with less.

I'll be on and off the PC for the rest of the day so I'll check back for the other spec.

Re: Enrique and other PC wizzards. Spec me a machine please.

I've seen 516 cards for far less I thought may do the trick.
Not sure what you mean there DA?
Would you mind if I show you the "lesser" spec model when my mate fires it across to me for you to have a look at that too please.
Sure.. No probs at all.

Re: Enrique and other PC wizzards. Spec me a machine please.

PS Never heard of this graphics card, was expecting NVIDIA OR ATI but this was specced, I'm assured it's good but as I say I'm green. It's an Nvidia card - http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-ge ... 60-us.html - Asus is just one of many makes using the reference chip. It's certainly a very capable...

Re: Western Union scam

Pretty simple scam. Victim/complete idiot falls for email and provides their details. United Nations/King Abdul/Elvis/Nigerian man in Lagos then sends another email to inform you that the first transfer of $5000/$10,000 etc has been transferred via Western Union and is ready for you to collect BUT t...

That's how you end listings early. Just enter the auction (listing) number and it will probably prompt you for a reason such as "Item is broken", "Item is no longer for sale" etc so just select the appropriate one.
