Re: ITV on Vehicles Not Used

My understanding of the law is that it has to be itv'd always, even if its parked off the road on your property & not used. There's a fine , apparently,to even renew the itv after the due date. I've never heard of anyone getting one thoiugh ! Same with insurance, would you believe. You cannot have a...

Re: Exchanging driving licence

You can exchange a non photo Uk licence for a spanish one without needing anything else. Just make sure you put down every group that you require on the spanish licence & make sure you keep photo-copies for yourself in case of anything missing. I'd also do that when exchanging a photo-card licence &...

Re: 30 Minutes Shopping Takes Us 2 hours...At Least !

Some countries it works in . My brother in Germany had it all done with their usual teutonic efficiency by the Germans. He just gave them his N.I. number & they did all the rest , & it was all sorted before it was due to commence.

Re: Olive Farmers...some info

Ours are all done. We don't have all that different gradings , it just goes on the quality & % of the oil measured in the lab. At least last year & this they've used a laser measuring system which has replaced the old system that used to take ages. Price is a few cents up on last year but still rubb...

Re: Minumum Wage

In the UK though his employers may have to pay him compensation and the courts may force them to re-employ him I'm also doubting the amount that this Spanish gardener would be paid in compensation as I've been told in the past, when talking about this subject, that there is a max that can be paid o...

Well at the moment it's costing you 719.21€ , each per year to employ him. It will cost each of you 1881,46€ to make him redundant. Then you either do it yourselves, or employ someone on a 1,3 or 6 month contract or autonomo.

Re: Minumum Wage

As I said, I cannot contribute to the actual question posed in the thread but for fincalospinos, this is my take on it: It’s a deceitful and messy way to go about determining a remuneration package. What is his base rate? What is his holiday pay calculated on? If his employment is terminated, what ...

Re: Video Converter

Just noticed on the bottom of the aldi ad. that it says 'adaptador euroconnector' so it appears to come with the video cable to scart adaptor. The only reason I bought the male to female one with the plugs in the side is that our video, dvd, tdt & sky box all link through scart leads to the tv & hav...

When the west-indians were invited to the UK in the 50's & 60's they were told that if they broke the law they would be deported. There was a lady on the tv recently asking why it had applied to her & was not still in force now ? If they are able to be deported then they should be. If in doubt , aim...
