Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

As above. But in my case it was sent by a "respected" BBC techy who endorsed the "do not buy any new equipment until the dust settles" school of thought. 8) In our community we are adapting a suck & see plan. I think this makes sense but I am moving to a new house this month without a dis...

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

I'm looking for a 1.3m dish now....Alcaucin area. Unless you are going to use it as a giant wok, I don't see what use it will be there! There are still plenty of other channels worth receiving. I have something lined up for BBC/ITV/C4/C5 via the internet from the UK but I'm not going to waste bandw...

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

Anyone got one going cheap? Alcaucin area. Is there a classified section of thi...

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

xbmc on the pc i think it is what the appletv uses... So are you saying that Apple uses someone's else's open source software - seems odd. No, the standard Apple TV doesn't use XBMC. Many people jailbreak them though and run XBMC on it. It's not something I've had cause to do so haven't looked in t...

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

Best option for me might be to do it through the iPad but how do I connect the iPad to the TV? I have the Apple connectors for connecting a camera or SD card to the iPad and the TV has HDMI spare socket and a a USB port. Any suggestions? Get an Apple TV (112 euro via http://store.apple.com/es/brows...

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

As someone with access to a property in the UK, I'm considering a slingbox connected to a freeview/freesat box in the UK and streaming over here. Anyone doing that?

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

Slightly off topic - but why don't canal+ offer the UK channels as a paid-for extra? Has there been any suggestion that may happen? Surely there are enough of us here who would want it and they'd get many new subscribers to their service too.

Re: BB4S

Well it looks like Anda are sticking to their (very incorrect) guns, so we'll be moving to BB4S. BB4S didn't cover our area when we first asked them but they do now.

As for Anda, I'll be writing up what's happened and why I can't recommend them.

Re: BB4S

Costakid - you've made me think again now. Anyone use Anda Networks? Our neighbour uses them and is happy, but they don't seem to have a website, and you have to phone for more info. Their advery in Sentinella says very little Yes, we use Anda networks and have done for about 18 months but at the m...

Anda Networks

Anyone here with Anda Networks?

Our internet has been down all day, no reply to emails to them and their telephone appears to be down.

Wondering if it is the same for everyone or whether I'm just unlucky!

Thanks

Yes, been using them since January. No real problems. Occasional drop outs etc but think that is going to happen with any wimax-style system. Good friendly service.

Re: Velez-Malaga game on Saturday - what time?

Kick off was 12. Really enjoyed it. Ok, the football wasn't the best I've ever seen (but I have seen worse) but it was a nice way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday. 10 euros to get in. The bar was cheap - we had a fanta and a San Miguel 0.0 and it came to... 2 euros! It was a really nice atmosp...

Re: Velez-Malaga game on Saturday - what time?

thanks, I mis-read it was Saturday. That page seems to suggest it is 11am on Sunday? Is that correct or a timezone mistake?

seems an odd time for a football match!

does anyone ever go?

Velez-Malaga game on Saturday - what time?

Hi,

Does anyone know what time the game on Saturday is? Not had a chance to go since we've been leaving here but my brother is over and we'd like to go. I can't find out what time the game is though!

Thanks

Where to buy an acoustic guitar?

Hello, Where is the nearest place to Velez-Malaga to buy an acoustic or electro acoustic guitar please? I'm going to ship a couple over from the UK in a month or two but I'm itching to play something now! I might just order something from Amazon but if there is anywhere local I could visit that woul...
