Re: TM-5402 and Intelsat 907

There are two posts on facebook that suggest that either there is a tech problem or the BISS codes have changed again - only 2 weeks since last change.

Sky Go

There's a guy advertising Sky Go on PC and is charging 6 GBP for setup and 16 GBP per month for Sky Sports package. Payment is via Paypal. My problem is my exit strategy - can I cancel the monthly Paypal subscription easily?

Electric water heater

Can anyone tell me if I can fit an electric water heater horizontally if it is meant to be fitted vertically?
I guess it depends on the internal design - of which I know nothing!!

Re: Rain

Extremely strong gusts of warm wind yesterday evening and through the night. Calm now but the windows are covered in (?) Sahara dust!! No damage but we're in a valley between Arenas and Sedella. We were sat outside a bar in Velez Malaga last night and the side awning blew down landing on the heads o...

Re: New Laptop.

Hi DA
I'm not familiar with W8 but this works for Vista and W7.
Have you tried setting your password to the null string ("")? Just hit return when asked for your new password!

TV programme guide

I will firstly apologise to Sid for having to open a new thread for this. I tried to search for 'TV programme guide' but was unable to find what I was looking for. So - a little while ago someone (I think it might have been Sid) posted a website link for a TV programme guide. It was excellent but af...

I was 'chastised' by Sid (the grumpy old git) some time ago and I survived it. This is a tremendous forum full of good advice both general and specific. Long may it remain so!

Re: Notification of replies on here...

This has prompted me to update my subscriptions. I am now subscribed to only 30 topics - down from 227. I simply kept page 1 and assumed the rest would be out of date. Probably not correct but I have set up my account to on login give me the new topics from the last login so I'm well covered. Less w...

Re: MIDI files etc

The one I stumbled on is called Anvil. I'll have a look at Krystal. Because my PC is in a small office and the Casio keyboard is huge, I put the keyboard in a spare room and connected it to my laptop running W7 using the MIDI cable I'd bought. I couldnt get Anvil to 'see' the keyboard. So I asked fo...

Do we have anyone who knows all about keyboards, computers and MIDI files?
