Re: Free banking revisited

Thanks Chrissie. Yes it is a spanish account. Their website says they are Dutch. I wasn't aware of the Barclays connection. So yours is a UK account I presume. My DIL needs a Spanish account.

Free banking revisited

My daughter in law is considering opening an account with ING. She understands that it will be commission-free with no charges for debit card, maintenance, transfers etc and that she will have online banking also. Has anyone first hand experience of ING and be prepared to give me all the details? Gr...

Re: estate agent fees

Lyric
Sorry - I should have said that their commission is 5% (+IVA @21%) of the agreed final sale price. That happens to be 50% of the 10% deposit paid by the buyer!! Bit of a coincidence what?

estate agent fees

We've asked a local estate agent to sell our property for us. She has sent us a contract to sign. It includes the following clauses: 1. Liquidation damages – In the case of the buyer backing out of the sale 50% of the deposit is paid to the Company and 50% to the client, subject to the sales contrac...

Re: Rubbish

Hi Gerry No - Sedella have their own independent ayuntamiento. I have had to pay for Basuras now for (I think) the last 3 years. Actually we drop our rubbish in the Arenas bins on the way down to Velez Malaga. But pay Sedella! So maybe the statement by Nerja THFD only refers to Nerja residents. Each...

Rubbish

This is taken directly from the Nerja Town Hall Foreigners Dept document: "GARBAGE – BASURA 1ST SEMESTER 2014 For all owners of a property except for those living in the campo, field, who do not have garbage collection. This tax is due two times a year every 6 months (or semester). The amount that t...

Re: CGT for residents selling houses in Spain

Syd - I hope this is not too far off-topic but could you advise me where to start looking to buy a very modest annuity here in spain? I'm already retired so it would not be for my pension, I just have a few quid that is gaining no interest in my UK bank.

Re: Wine making equipment

Gerry - there was a guy earlier this year advertising on facebook. His name was Karl ??? and he was selling winemaking and beermaking equipment, including kits.
Sorry I can't remember his name but his outlet was in the small poligono just outside Casabermeja on the Colmenar road.

Re: Payment due exactle when?

Thanks Beach - I'm sorry to confuse the issue by mentioning it was a part payment. I notice last year I paid the first instalment on Friday the 28th june as the 30th was a Sunday.
