Meetic

Recently I have found that when booting up windows the above programme opens up in IE. The actual URL is www.gevergever.net/meetic_back. If I close the session with the * at the top RHS the screen just refreshes. I use Firefox as my browser and today I have found that IE has opened up on top of Fire...

Re: funeral dress code

If its his choice you are fine. Hopefully everyone respects his wish. Picking up on the 'code' rather than the 'dress': I've attended 2 funerals in the UK where, at the wishes of the deceased, the services were not the norm. The first was for a chap who was a gambler at the horse races and the serv...

Re: Fobos Internet

Hi Buffy I have used Fobos for several years now. He has improved his service since the early days. I live in the campo between Arenas and Sedella. In a valley but his new mast that he erected above Cerro Bias now gives me a fast and reliable service. I usually get up to 10 Mbps and 4 Mbps up and do...

Re: £

The main action is between the Euro and the Dollar which they say could hit parity. I remember the last time the Euro was 1.09 to the Dollar and Spain was booming so it may be a good thing. Make Europe more competitive. Katy - do you mean the dollar will hit parity? If so where is the reference to ...

Re: New State Pension from April 2016 forecast shock

Whilst the title of this thread implies that it is the UK state pension that is being discussed, I think it allows me to mention my Spanish state pension!!
I received notification today that my pension will increase by 6 cents every month (from 24.90 euros to 24.96). YESssssssssss.

Thanks Enrique. Worked great - I hope your instructions have also proved useful for other users.
The good news is that all three PAE, NX, and SSE2 were starred. I'm all set to go.

Re: Fobos internet

I've used him for many years now. Pretty reliable - I only seem to lose it when there are thunderstorms over Algarrobo way.... I get 10Mb down and 4 Mb up for 35+iva per month and I understand he will switch off for holidays. I also understand he offers a slower and cheaper option now. I don't have ...

Re: Validate Win 7

I have just installed a new version of W7 Pro on my son's laptop. After the installation I then went into Control Panel and chose System. On the very bottom of the page is a statement in green ( I think) saying "System not authenticated x days to autoauthentication. Authenticate now." I clicked on A...

Re: Camera options.

Can I say first off that I am not a camera techie. Whilst in the UK over New Year on the advice of my son in law I purchased a Sony DSC-HX400V camera for 149 GBP. This was via hotukdeals and a Sony cashback deal of 40 GBP. Brand new with 20.1 mp, 50x zoom and a viewfinder. My previous compact was gi...

There are two posts on facebook that suggest that either there is a tech problem or the BISS codes have changed again - only 2 weeks since last change.

Sky Go

There's a guy advertising Sky Go on PC and is charging 6 GBP for setup and 16 GBP per month for Sky Sports package. Payment is via Paypal. My problem is my exit strategy - can I cancel the monthly Paypal subscription easily?
