Re: T.I.E

No, that's for making the appointment at the police station Mark. I understood that you need to complete the application form EX23 for the TIE which you need to take along with you. This is the special one for Brexiting Brits "Solicitud de tarjeta (art. 18.4 del Acuerdo de Retirada)" A link to it h...

That's the payment form, the 790. I'm talking about the application form EX23.

Re: Coronavirus

Yes thanks Enrique. I had only paid a small deposit of 150GBP and according to the instructions from ABTA I need to contact my bank to ask for a chargeback. I didn't realise that Debit Visa and Mastercards are treated the same way as credit cards, so under their schemes you can ask for a refund if y...

Re: Movistar web site

It didn't seem to like the card I was trying to use. So I used a different one and the money has gone from my account but is not yet showing on the phone/website. Not sure if it takes time to be credited, but usually with my other SIMs it is instant.

Re: Coronavirus

I've just booked a cruise for next summer, but I am aware that this may not happen! This has just happened sooner than I expected. Cruise and Maritime have gone into administration  Just as well I only paid a small deposit but a shame as they were well priced and had a good choice of cruises. ...

Re: Movistar web site

I was just about to ask the same question! I tried to do a top up over the weekend but nothing happened so I repeated it a bit later. I expect I've got both lots added now!

Re: Coronavirus

I am reminded of the old folk offered vaccine for flu. Some swear by it and others say it gives them flu. My dad only ever had the flu jab once and it made him feel so ill he said he's never have another. This was someone who had his first injection (a tetanus jab after an injury) when he was well ...

Re: T.I.E

Those of you who have completed the EX23 did you use this link? http://extranjeros.mitramiss.gob.es/es/modelossolicitudes/mod_solicitudes2/23-TIE_RU_JUNIO_2020.pdf What boxes did you tick for the questions in part 4? If you have a permanent Spanish residency is it: RESIDENCIA CON CERTIFICADO DE REGI...

Walking along Torrox paseo today I didn't see anyone sitting at the restaurants wearing masks.

Re: Masks to be mandatory from next week in Andalucia

Surely keep touching the mask to move it between sips of beer is worse than not having it on whilst sitting at a table in a bar or restaurant?

Re: Masks to be mandatory from next week in Andalucia

From what I've read you don't need to wear one whilst sitting on the beach or swimming in the sea, but if you are like many people who stroll up and down along the edge of the sea for miles then you must wear one. I think common sense says that if you are simply walking down from where you are sitti...

Re: Premium Bonds

Also, despite having had bonds for nearly 50 years, they still wanted proof of ID and address (countersigned by my gestoria) before allowing a top up recently and friends had the same experience. Not very convenient to do in the middle of lockdown.

Certainly the old photo extranjero card did and it seems from what Sid says it does. Anyway, like Gerry, we still prefer to have one.

Re: T.I.E

I had the original resident's photo ID card here in the early 2000s and it was great. It was accepted long after it expired until the police took it off me the other month in a road block check. Up until then it was accepted as ID for collecting parcels or buying things that needed my NIE. I do now ...

Re: Masks to be mandatory from next week in Andalucia

The cloth ones I bought in C&A/Dunnes were 4.99€ / 5€ for two. I've got a load of blue medical ones to finish up first and so they will last a while yet.

Re: T.I.E

At least ours is a brand new soulless dump

Mark. there may be more demand down here to get the TIE (Brexit) appointment, as the first one available was 26 August and then within minutes the next ones were 28/8 and 31/8. Originally Gerry got the (wrong) appointment within the week I think.

Nowadays it's a case of trying things on in the loo in El Ingenio after I've bought them and immediately returning them to the shop as the changing rooms are shut in most places. -------------------- In there recently and the loo at one end was shut so bought some clothes in one shop, went into the ...
