Re: Coronavirus

Gerry it won't let me access the Endesa site at all. A message comes up saying that as I am a client of EnergiaXXI and I can only access that, which as you say, does not have the 15% discount option. Just been out to do some chores. Very busy everywhere, I guess due to the upcoming bank holiday week...

Re: Spanish Postal Service

Having rushed to the Torrox pueblo PO before 12:30 I see they are now back to normal hours, closing at 2:30pm but still closed Saturdays.

Re: Spanish Postal Service

Last Friday we received a letter posted from the UK in mid February, together with letters posted in March. Must be catching up with things a bit now.

Re: Coronavirus

So the fact that we have been moved to the sister company means that we don't get the offer of a discount :( . Endesa/whatever aren't my favourite company at the best of times

Re: Ryanair.

According to the de-escalation plans we are not supposed to be travelling to another province before the end of June
"No travel will be permitted to other provinces, without justification (such as to work), at least until the end of June.", so I guess flights to the UK would be out!

Re: Drainage

If it's going onto your own land I would just do it. We have a land drain that eventually goes out onto the track and we've connected our bath to that. I would have liked more to go to it to save the poor old drains blocking up as there's no fall on them and although we're really careful at what goe...

Was that the Endesa site though Lyric? I can no longer log into Endesa, it says I'm now a client of EnergiaXXI and that 'campaign' option isn't available on the request page

Re: Coronavirus

If any of you are Endesa customers then they are giving a 15% discount on the highest bill in April or May. Details here:- https://www.endesa.com/en/advice/endesa-covid-19/endesa-by-your-side My bills have changed and now come from EnergiaXXI and this doesn't discount seem to be an option on their ...

Re: Ryanair.

My May Ryanair flight has just been cancelled. As Screagle wrote, they send you a link in the email which you only have to put your email address in and name and off it goes. Sounds a lot easier than Easyjet that wants you to phone for a refund, unless they have changed that. Easyjet aren't cancelli...

Re: Advice/Info for those stuck away

My friends are elderly and their son (a UK resident) said he would drive them back. For health reasons they don't want to fly. I think they'll have to see what is happening in the next few weeks, perhaps after 9 May. There is so much conflicting news it's difficult to know what is happening except I...

Re: Coronavirus

I was lucky that I had my haircut the Tuesday before lockdown started. Some of friends weren't so lucky and they eventually trusted their OHs to cut it and they haven't done a bad job. I always cut my fringe if it gets on my eyes but can usually go a good 2 - 3 months without having it cut if necess...

Re: Car insurance claim advice

Why not just ask the insurance company if they are interested in taking it up as a claim? Would it effect their no claims and or increase their premium though? Considerig what they are like in the uk are spanish firms as bad? They are wondering whether its worth it as they have a few scuffs etc alr...

Re: Advice/Info for those stuck away

Thanks for the information. I have friends stuck in the UK that would like to return home to Spain but I'm not sure it's so easy to back come into the country at the moment.

Re: Coronavirus

I am amazed, Wicksey, you cannot walk in the campo but then Andalucia has more people than Extremadura with the resultant higher rates of infection — not to mention all your weekenders! As far as I can find out from the information published of what you can or cannot do, it seems to say that you ca...

Re: Advice/Info for those stuck away

The hotels are open for essential workers and those having to attend elderly relatives etc or special circumstances. Not sure that it covers people just driving back to their home countries.

Re: Coronavirus

I think here the wearing of masks is only advisory as there is a shortage, or so I read a while ago. The sock mask in the video is good Sid! May have a go at that although there's no sock shops open here, but I have plenty of used ones  https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/04/23/children-allow...

Re: Coronavirus

You would never know it's lockdown in the campo. Two holiday rental houses have had people staying in them in the past week and there are still times when there are numerous cars at some cortijos. People come up to do building work when I thought you're only supposed to go to your campo casa to feed...
