Re: BUYING A TOWER WITH NO OPERATING SYSTEM
I think you only need one of the USB receivers plugged in. If you buy the keyboard and mouse as a set, you only get one. Sid I just tried unplugging each of the wireless dongles and I do need them both plugged in. I expect this is because I bought the keyboard and mouse at different times. Some yea...

Re: BUYING A TOWER WITH NO OPERATING SYSTEM
Patricia With regard your limited number of USB sockets you could always use a hub. I use this one by Aukey and it works very well. https://goo.gl/6qM529 As for a keyboard and mouse I use a Logitech Keyboard. https://goo.gl/8LZKjB and Mouse. https://goo.gl/LGSwD5 I think the mouse is slightly smalle...

I quite agree, as stated above, we have a similar setup. I would like to have seen an option where the background could be dialled back or the voice raised to suit.country boy wrote: We run on "voice" mainly as we don't like too much base.

Re: Water heater on a timer problem
Timers by their nature are meant to be on all the time, I thought, so I didn't think there was a problem using it for a water heater. A timer is simply an On/Off switch controlled by a timing device. Provided it's Kw rating is higher than the water heater, as yours seems to be, there is no reason n...

Re: Water heater on a timer problem
This is probably a good place to ask. I need a number of Spanish plugs (enchufes), as I was putting in an amazon.es order anyway, I looked for plugs on there, I couldn't find a single one! I have had some Chinese ones in the past but the quality is quite poor. I know new items come with a molded-on ...

Re: BBC iplayer
I am using Chrome and cleared the Browsing History and Download History for the first time in forever. Using SmartyDNS I am getting the BBC iPlayer OK, also ITV Hub but that has been working OK anyway. Still no joy with All 4. See how things are tomorrow.

Re: How to make a TV smart?
My paid for internet speed is supposed to be 10Mbps but I usually get get 6 or 7 so 4K is a far-off dream! I experience buffering on streams higher than SD.It should work on any HDMI TV or monitor, but for it to work in 4K only certain TV's with HDMI 2.0 (HDCP 2.2) will work.

Re: How to make a TV smart?
Hi Mark Like you I have Prime in Spain (I think I signed up for Premium originally and they 'converted' it to Prime) but not in UK, I looked up the price of UK Prime and was a bit shocked it is £79p.a. No thanks. I downloaded Prime Video this morning, there is nothing there for me to warrant paying ...

Re: How to make a TV smart?
Thanks N&S and Mark.
I am mainly planning to use this box with a Panasonic TV that is past it's best. I also have an older monitor that works OK and has an HDMI socket on the back - is there any particular reason the Fire TV box wouldn't work with this?

Re: How to make a TV smart?
. This is a very timely thread from my point of view as far as I'm concerned. I have the opportunity to have the Amazon Fire TV Box + remote brought over from the UK in a few weeks time. Although I do have a UK Amazon account, I do not pay for Prime as it's not worth it to me. On the other hand I ha...

Re: All 4
I had the same problem of not being to watch the All 4 channels. I am using SmartyDNS and raised a ticket asking about this, I was very surprised to get the following response from them in about ten minutes. Hi, please change the time zone of your device to London. Let us know about the results. Bes...
