Re: Sky Go
My daughter has a Sky account I can use. It runs ok on my laptop using SmartyDNS. I still haven't got it working on the Samsung tablet but I am away for a few days so will pursue it later. I am still getting the Spanish Play Store, I don't seem to be able to get the tablet to 'forget' the original G...

Hi Sid
I must be still connecting to the Spanish Play Store as the adverts are in Spanish. I haven't got the foggiest how to get through to the UK one though!

Sky Go
I can watch Sky Go of my laptop with no problem but now want to use it on OHs Samsung Tab 4 10.1. Android version 5.1.1. Although I have SmartyDNS and PIA VPN (both set to the UK) I am unable to find the Sky Go app in the Google Play Store. The Sky website is a bit sketchy about which Android device...

I'd be interested in seeing photos of your chap's system. 150k phew!
The wine/cables comparison is quite valid.
I don't drink wine myself but my old dutch swears by a local rosé for €1.95 a bottle! I prefer the ancient vineyard of San Miguel!

Re: Hifi and AV cables. What's your opinion?
You've hit the nail on the head! Back in the early seventies I bought a Pye stereo turntable/amp combination with separate speakers. If you went into Currys or similar and asked to listen to a system (radiogran? Nice piece of furniture!) they would put on an LP with loads of brass instruments on it ...

This subject has niggled me for decades. Basically I think these super high price promoters are selling snake oil.

Re: Recommendations please for free OCR software
Hi Chrissie I'm a bit late to this particular party! You could look at your problem from another point of view. I use a program called Foxit Advanced PDF Editor, it allows me to open a pdf as if it were a Word document and edit it as easily. I recently took a user manual of over 650 pages in many la...

Windows 10 Now Tries to Automatically Update!
If you're using Windows 7 or Windows 8, be aware that the Windows 10 update is now a "recommended update", which means it will automatically download and try to install. You still have to confirm it, but it's still good to know.

Re: Buying a TV or hifi around Estepona
Hi Tim
I recently bought a Samsung TV from http://www.electroprecio.com/tv-imagen/ ... 844514694b Delivery took a few days.
I can confirm it was very easy to change the settings to UK.

Re: Dns or vpn
I also use the Kodi for Netflix. I don't think I would be totally happy with this solution if I was using it on a regular basis but it is perfect for me when I am over in Spain. I use Kodi too, it is particularly good for the latest films. Is Netflix free or do you need to pay a subscription for it?

Yes, I was awake at the time, bed shaking (not in a good way!) and blinds rattling for about 15 seconds.
On Facebook over a hundred reports came in in about 15 minutes, it was felt over a very wide area.

I have had two of the Samsung 2Tb drives for over a year now and they work faultlessly. Any drive can fail.
