Re: Entring Spain with a dog

show Pets Passport and get vehicle sticker. Erm...........what sticker? I think the rule of minimum age of 4 months is most likely to be there to protect the welfare of the puppy. IMO 10 weeks of age is far too young to be making such a long journey - to have only just left 'mum' and the comfort of...

Re: Accommodation 'en route'

Thank you all for your very welcome responses. Having reappraised the route I'd be daft to attempt it with just one overnight stop. The Ibis hotels look useful being dog friendly and quite close to the route.

Thanks again.

I used mine in a Mercadona in Alora and it was chip and pin.

Re: I.D. using bank cards

Are you referring to a UK bank card? I used mine last month in a supermarket and was not asked for any ID - which is just as well as I'm sure I'd left my passport back at the house!

Accommodation 'en route'

Hi I will be setting off on my journey to Andalucia very soon and as I am bringing the dogs with me I shall be driving over. I have booked Eurotunnel (I just don't do boats!) for just before 7am and want to drive through France as far as is safely possible. Looking at timings with plenty of stops I ...

Re: Ryanair reserved seats!!

They are well worth the extra - particularlly when you've paid virtually nothing for your seat. I've never had any problems - even with priority boarding. It is ignorant 'scuffling' people who make issues with boarding - not Ryanair.

Re: Sat Nav problems

I've never been a lover of satnavs preferring to get my bearings with a map. However, before my trip to Alora in December I did invest in a Tomtom 1005 Go Live Europe & UK. A great piece of kit when going somewhere for the first time. Another benefit I found was that going back to Malaga airport it ...

Re: House sales up

I wouldn't believe anyone working in the property business, they are the biggest bull shí;tters around  Weren't they saying that the market had picked up about 2 years ago! They will be right one year I suppose! How right you are! I've read lots of hype about how the market is on the up so buy...

Re: Laptop vs I-pad

Thanks everyone. I will check out the people I am staying with as they have one. When over last month I bought a simple Nokia and simcard from Movistar in Alora as I'd stupidly left my UK mobile at home. That had a good signal but that was a phone and not internet.

Cheers.

Re: Laptop vs I-pad

Hi - many thanks for the responses. Yes I would have got the iPad 3g version but I'm leaning more towards a laptop I think. I will be staying between Alora and Valle de Abdalajis during February and it will be in that area I am looking to rent. Decisions, decisions..........so much easier buying a p...

Laptop vs I-pad

Hi As I'm about to purchase a new laptop it is obviously a good time to look into what is the most suitable for my potential usage over the next 12 months. As I will be back in Andalucia at the beginning of February - this time for 5 weeks in an attempt to secure a suitable long-term rental property...

Re: I Wonder ?

Hi - can someone clarify something for me please? My elderly dog had her rabies booster in August 2011 but my younger had her first rabies jab on 1st October 2010, 2nd on 25th October 2010 and blood test on 15th November 2010 and her passport then issued. The UK requires rabies to be boostered every...

Re: Lovely weather

Good luck to you both- I hope it all works out well. The weather here in South Lincolnshire is appalling and has been for a few days - so windy here on the fen. Hopefully it will remain warm and sunny in Andalucia as I'm heading there tomorrow for a few days. Going to view a couple of properties and...
