If, when you go this screening, you had a money belt on your person containing paper notes and credit cards, I wonder if would this be detected? I will certainly be that bit more vigilant. Thanks Paula.

We had exactly the same problem 5 years ago in San Pedro. It was the fact that the guy had a lot of tissues that sort of made me think something wasn't quite right. Took us to a toilet to clean up - but didn't get anything! We were lucky. A week later there was a piece reported in one of the freebie...

Only just read this. After giving our cat Frontline the vet also gave us what he called a a 'bomb' which is placed in the middle of the house and kills all fleas and eggs. Had to put the cat in her cage and put her outside. We too had to go out for 2/3 hours whilst it took effect.

Excuse my ignorance - but as we have not yet obtained a certificate of non-residencia - would this form be ok to use to apply for one? We strictly adhere to 180 days in Spain.

Sorry peteroldracer - haven't used Jet2 - yet! :) However I have recently booked to fly with Ryanair just before Xmas - first time and again shortly after New Year - so will post how things go - if and when it happens!

Before we bought a car in Spain we used Helle Hollis for years and without doubt they were fast, efficient, reliable - and not a rip-off. Pleasant too.
