Re: Are the traffic police clamping down?

Lots of drink driving offences around the Antequera area, even in the mornings the Guardia have been out stopping every car on a section of road and breathalising the drivers, seems a big campaign, puts a stop to the traditional Anis or Brandy for brecky, and of course it can still be in the blood f...

Malaga Airport P3 parking update

Have just used the P3 car park at Malaga airport and found it first class, the rates for undercover parking are 5.10e per day and after 11 days it drops to 3.80e per day, just follow signs to " P3 " when you go through the tunnel ,the shuttle bus drops you outside security at terminal 2 an...

Re: British Consulate offices in Spain to go?

When you are resident in Spain and renew your British passport through the British Consulate in Madrid they charge £128 pounds for a standard renewal compared to £77.50 if resident in UK, I wrote to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London to ask "why " and they stated it was to enabl...

Re: Easyjet credit card charges

I have just looked at FairFX site and it clearly states that you must be a UK resident and that sometime in the future they will supply non UK residents, any ideas where a spanish resident can obtain a Pre Paid Mastercard now ?

Re: movil to movil

Thanks for the info, I have looked at "hits" and it seems that on all provider mobiles there is a 17 c connection charge , but on " hits " you get five minutes per call free to other " hits " users with a maximum of sixty minutes per day, there is no monthly minimum usa...

22.00 hrs 15th Feb

There is an email going round about a protest against the rising cost of electricity and it is proposed that at 22.00 hrs ( ten at night ) on Tuesday 15th we all turn our electricity off for five minutes, this seems to be a national campaign.

Amazon

I have been using Amazon recently and if your order exceeds twenty five pounds on some items they will deliver free to Spain, it normally takes about five days and arrives via DRW, your order can be tracked on Amazon site, I have found this service very good........

The Christmas lights in Malaga along with the Christmas stalls are as good as any in the UK but everything here seems to revolve around three kings when kids get their pressies, as someone has posted " its just like any other day " Happy Christmas!!

Re: Tell your UK Consulate

I would like to ask why the cost of passport renewal is twice the cost of a UK resident, I renewed mine recently and the service was excellant, returned in one week but I still think it is an unfair cost.

Maybe the residency bit refers to the length of time an immigrant has been in the country before they will qualify for some type of pension rather than the number of years contributions have been made.

Is it worth picking my olives ?

For the last few years the price paid by our local co-operative for olives did not make it worth picking them, does anyone know what the price is this year ?? Thanks.

Bonfire Licence

I have been told that I need a licence to have a bonfire in my garden, is this correct ? also they stated that the licence is only for one fire on the date stated on licence, this does not seem right but could be as this is Spain, we are now putting all garden waste in basura bins which seem to be o...
