It's the possibility of being more than "3 hours of your life" that makes people, quite rightly, cautious.

Granite worktop filler
Does anyone know if what I am looking for exists, and if so what it is called.
I am butting together at right angles, pieces of granite kitchen worktop, and would like to put some sort of filler/mastic in the joint which would set to ensure a perfect seal.
Any ideas welcome.

Re: Still a chance for UK residents
For Manchesteral's benefit : " Who elected Juncker ? " - Elected members of the European Parliament ( MEPs ). Who elected those MEPs ? - The electorates of EU member countries, in the same way as they elect Members of their domestic Parliaments, at the ballot box. So I suppose you could sa...

Re: Barbeques on Terraces
The "can and can't" regulations of a Community exist either in the original Statutes or additional Internal Rules. In either case, in order to amend the regulations, owners must vote for the amendment at an AGM/EGM. If in the Statutes, the vote must be unanimous, or a simple majority if an...

Not true where this customer is concerned. Same itinerary last year, I was charged 26 Euros.

Ryanair hold baggage
I must have been mistaken, but I could swear I had seen a Ryanair guy on the TV a short while ago, explaining how their new baggage policy was actually better for their customers. Just booked a June flight from Berlin to Malaga, and been charged 50 Euros for one hold bag !!!!

Re: Ryanair luggage change
I agree that passengers pushing their luck ( they mostly know full well what the allowances are ) is a contributory factor, but the airlines themselves must bear a large portion of blame. They rarely if ever, either at check in or boarding gate or aircraft entry, check hand baggage and enforce the d...

Re: Linea Direct Claim
Very odd, as I have an email from LD saying the claim will be settled exactly as I stated in my original post. I can only assume the garage I thought of taking it to is not an "authorised repairer" though I was not aware such a category existed. When I first telephoned LD, the bloke said t...

Linea Direct Claim
Some ratbag has just whacked in my front and rear passenger doors while parked in a meter bay in town. Linea Direct say they will send someone to appraise the damage and set an amount limit for the cost of repairs. I then have to pay the garage after the work has been done, and reclaim the amount fr...

Re: Spanish mobile use from USA
Just thought I'd give an update. Thought I'd got everything cracked. Did all the arrangements in one of the local Movistar offices, following the advice of both girls who assured me this add on was what I needed, paid in loads of dosh to give us a healthy credit balance, and away. Result ???????? Ab...

Re: Spanish mobile use from USA
Thanks chaps, I've gone with the Movistar idea as it is simple. I only wanted an emergency option if we needed to phone and no wifi was available, and the Movistar does the job, plus you pay nothing if it is not used.

Spanish mobile use from USA
Has anyone experience of using a smartphone on a Movistar pay as you go contract, from the USA ? I see Movistar has a deal, 2'50euros per day which you can sign up for before going, but can't tell if it applies to pay as you go as well as contracts. Or, does anyone know of any other "economical...

Health Service Prescription Charges
As I understand it, If you receive Spanish state healthcare, and you are in receipt of a UK state pension, then prescription charges are 10% of cost providing your income is below Euros 100,000 pa. Could anyone confirm if this is correct ?

Sound Bars
We've got a Samsung flat screen Smart TV, which performs very well, except that on some of the films on the Video Club of our IPTV system, the sound can be quite poor - not all of them by any means, so I don't think it's any fault on the TV, just that dialogue on some can be quite difficult to follo...

Re: Spanish Airport Workers Strike
It appears the "last ditch" talks yesterday were "positive" but not to all parties satisfaction so there are further talks arranged for next Tuesday. The unions have agreed to suspend the first of the planned 25 days of strikes which was due to be across all airports next Friday....

Has anyone heard any news from yesterday's "last ditch" talks to avoid the proposed action ?
Have tied googling but can't seem to get a bite.
