Can't be more than 35-40 mins, straight down the N340 then left at Churriana, isn't it ??

If you are travelling from Nerja you take the exit for Cártama, Campillos, University etc just after the underpass (A357)

Pass by Cártama then take the exit for Coín. You go round under the road to the T junction and turn right. I think the lake you are referring to is about 7km along that road somewhere near the Venta Los Arcos.

Alan,
I don't know where you are coming from but if you are anywhere near Fuengirola then the easiest way to get to Alhaurin is to take Coin Road exit from the N340 and follow the road all the way to Alhaurin.

thats the way i'd go. but, i'd continue up the 357 to villafranco, come through there and towards alhaurin, get to the roundabout and instead of going accross to alhaurin, turn left, you come out about 300 yards before los arcos, the lake is past the resturant on the left about 40 metres. **(look for the sign showing a picture of a fish)**

Put your start and end into viamichelin and it will give you the quickest route with approximate time travelled.
