Snakes do good stuff too.

If the enemy is in range, so are you.

Actually, I like snakes as well. I even slowed down to let one get safely across the road a few days ago :D Couldn't ever have had one as a pet though, despite my sons desperate pleas, because you have to feed them baby mice. Just couldn't do it :(

Cassandra; have you ever been bitten by a poisonous snake?
Things could be worse...

Was married to one once but he never bit me :D Just stung me for a lot of money in the divorce :?

I do know there is a huge difference between wild snakes and those in captivity. Fortunately I don't live in the campo so am unlikely to come in to close contact with anything really nasty. It's easy to be flippant when your not directly affected.

Well I have been biiten by a snake (just see earlier post) stung by two scorpions and bitten by a few spiders in my year so far in the campo. None of them was more than a minor inconvenience (apart from the time the scorpion sting took to heal)

And I still am fascinated by and like the local wildlife.

The whole point is that in all but one case I was in their territory and was a perceived threat Most of the time we now co-exist quite happily
