Pay as you go mobile. Keeping it activated

Postby Grouser » Mon May 28, 2007 7:02 pm

We have a Movistar pay as you go mobile. It needs money credited to it every six months to keep the phone active. It is possible that at some point we may be away from Spain for more than six months. Does anyone know if there is a way of putting credit on the phone from the UK or other places? Thanks

If you have internet access to your bank account you should be able to use it to put credit on the telephone.

Use Mobipay and you can put credit on your phone from anywhere in the world. The Mobipay website gives you all the details.

We've got the same phone. We do what Costa says. Only trouble is we usually forget to make a note of when the credit expires before we leave spain

with movistar, you can go to their website, and se all the details there.Obviously you will have to register some details to go with the ph no, so your anonymous payg will no longer be anonymously owned. however at one stage ,( dont know if they still do), they were giving a free 6 euro credit to phones when each number was registered , which could solve 2 problems in one!

Has anyone tried crediting their mobile using Cajamar online? I have been trying on and off for at least 2 years and it always comes back with temporarily unavailable.

Yes, I credited my Vodafone account successfully on-line with Cajamar a month or so ago, so it is possible. Perhaps there is a problem with the link between Cajamar and your phone company.

I use Unicaja internet banking and I have successfully credited my mobile phone while on a short break in the UK.

Sometimes when you go to the "Mobile Services" it does say that the service is unavailable, and I think, as McT said, it is something to do with the link to the phone company.

If it's vodafone then you can top up using a UK voucher or at vodafone or independent phone shops.
