Tortoise?
Well Miro, the one our neighbours kids had in certainly endangered.
I was cleaning the inside of our bedroom window,(this is a once a year day), looked out and saw about 5 kids around a tortoise that had been carefully carried down the street in a cardboard box.
Never bothered too much as they were all sat watching it, then one of them obviously decided it wasn't moving around very much so decided to test his weight on it's shell, then because that was a bit boring, decided to play football with it. Just as I was about to murder the little g*ts, they picked up the tortoise put it back in it's box and scarpered.
Aren't kids great!

Just had a quick google for info on the law regarding tortoise sales. It seems they are endangered, and there are laws regarding the sale of them, so if you are buying from a petshop or so-called breeder, please ask to see the certificates proving that they are legally sourced. Maybe your local vet would be a good source of info?[/i]
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Very interesting little creatures and would make a nice change for a trainspotter.
