A Happy Ending?

Postby katy » Tue Nov 20, 2007 6:29 pm

In this mornings Diario sur.

A dog called Popeye has been rescued after spending 3 years in a makeshift kennel, totally in the dark and lying in its own excrement, only fed when they remembered. Popeye, a Podenco is 12 years old.

A malaga painter was working on a house and heard the continual whimpering nearby so he followed the noise and found him. they persuaded the person to hand over the dog and now the malaga couple are looking for a home for him as they already have 2 dogs and 3 cats. They say despite everything it is affectionate and when they walk him it doesn't know which lampost to choose! He does have a lot of scars.

Unusual to find a spanish couple doing this and very heartening that sur have published a doggy story...maybe the tide is turning.
