with due respect,...i don´t think so Kenny! I feel this is such a personal subject, that you may feel like that, and feel secure with your UK blanket, but i am sure there are many like myself also, who feel no need for that and are happy with their personal situation!

I have searched in vain for a Spanish translation or the original of this article in Spanish:

If anyone finds one I would be grateful for the link.
No on-line translations, please!

Nonsense Spanish Hopes. They may be bad in Europe, but not quite to the extent of politicians in Nigeria, Pakistan or dozens of other countries where corruption is really rife. There are a few with principles I think. Unfortunately the system does not give them advancement rather the scum tends to rise to the surface.
Having said that it seems to me that the greatest disincentive to political engagement is when one is always voting to try to keep someone out rather than to get someone in.

I think corruption and sleaze is rife in the UK too, and the corruption is policed by the corrupt.Grouser wrote:Nonsense Spanish Hopes. They may be bad but not quite to the extent of politicians in Nigeria, Pakistan or dozens of other countries where corruption is really rife.

I love the Monarchy except for Princes Phillip, Charles, Andrew, Edward, Princess Anne and all the rest of the hangers on, As Beachcomber points out it's a different story in Spain where the Monarchy actually cares about the country, England, pitiful, there's no such place anymore the politicians are spineless and intent only on feathering their own nests.
Ah! the full english!!
