Epsom Salts

Postby pkates » Fri Jul 18, 2008 12:35 pm

Does anybody know where to get these over here? I tried my local farmacia. Asked for 'Epsom Salts' and 'Sulfato de magnesio' but apparently they don't sell it.

My dictionary says it's called "epsomita" or "sal de la Higuera" if that's any help.
Have you tried a garden centre if it's for plants or is that too obvious?

Thanks for that Hillbilly - - tried my local garden center, no joy. I didn't come up with those translations you've provided so I'll give them ago, cheers.

sal de la Higuera
Well that would be about right if you think about it because they used to call them 'liver salts'

I think you're thinking of higado (liver)?
Higuera is a fig tree but Sal de La Higuera seems to be named after a place, Fuente la Higuera

Epsom Salts are also good in the bath for aches and pains.
