I HAVE A QUESTION.

I have noticed that from 2010, 30 years will be the amount of years for a full pension.

Once that I have 30 years paid, will there be any advantage at all to pay voluntary contributions for more than 30 years?

The quick answer is no, Kathy.

But how on earth did you work out that you might pay voluntary conributions for another 30+ years??..........unless, of course, you started "up the chimneys" at 2 years old :-)

I have 19 years paid at the moment into the UK scheme and I´m currently paying the annual voluntary contribution.
As it is more than 11 years until I reach retirement age, I was wondering if there was any advantage in paying contributions after the 30 year period.

If you pay 30 years contributions then you will be entitled to a full State Pension.

If you're paying Class III contributions, you will also maintain an entitlement to Bereavement Benefits.
