If you've got your lights off, how will you know when the hour is up?

Exactly my sentiments, silver (although I do know you are being sarcastic!). The whole ecology thing is in the hands of politicians across the world, and IMHO 99%% of them are self-serving wimps, unable or uninterested in selling or imposing anything on their populations that is in their long-term interests, so all the protests by tree-huggers will not do a thing - unless at least 90% of the population join in, which will never happen.

So hopefully this evening for one hour I will be able to fully illuminate my home inside and out and use all my electric appliances at the same time.

Cant wait.

   I dont need a politician to impose on me..I know what kind of "population" I will be.. a tree hugger 8) and try my best to give back to the earth..at least what I have taken out :o People who have no thoughts for future populations..who live only for themselves..are of no interest to me.

Turn off the power at 8.30, put your clock forward an hour and switch the power back on! Hey Presto!

I don't believe in Global warming per se. There are as many scientists who don't too but they do not get the publicity the pro's get. The more some of these pro organisations bang on about it the more research grants they receive. Seems that the Worlds Politicians don't believe it or they wouldn't be flying long distances every month to discuss it.

I really think we should take care of the world and keep it nice and not polluted. I fail to see the point of tonights tokenism. I think many people are being careful with using electricity if only due to the rising cost of it. I may put on an extra light in protest

Just did a google, "against global warming" this is the first one up.
