dia del trabajo?

Postby princess peach » Thu Apr 30, 2009 6:52 am

My son tells me he is off school for Friday(tommorow)and Monday for a spanish fiesta!
No teachers are going to school :? as its a holiday??
Can anyone confirm this for me..as him being a devious 13 year old..im never quite sure he is 100% truthful.
Also,if this is correct are the shops still open or will they all be shut?
Thanks.

May the First. Labour Day. Bank Holiday in the UK as well, but on Monday. Blame the Communists.
Everything shut here for four days as the Spanish make the 'puente'. :D

Well, a day to celebrate that's worthwhile and doesn't cause me to groan unlike day of the chickpea or breadcrumb! Unfortunately, I'll be working dia del trabajo, as usual :(
