Sorry need help with Endesa online??

I am trying to register for e billing but keep getting the message "El campo Número debe ser un identificador fiscal válido." I am using the info from the last bill under DNI/NIF. Am I using the correct info, which incidently is an NIE number.

Sorry for asking another Endesa question, did try other threads but not found an answer to meet this question.

Are you using Firefox by any chance? The Endesa site does not work properly with Firefox.

Do you have one of the more recently issued NIE numbers that begins with a Y instead of an X?

If the answer to both is 'No' make sure you are entering the number with no dashes or spaces ie. X1234567T and exactly as it appears on your paper electricity bill.

Hi Beachcomer, Thanks for your reply I'm not using Firefox and the NIE is with an X and I am copying exactly as written on the latest factura but still a problem. I have also tried it with spaces, dashes and substituting the last zero with an O in case of a typo, but still no joy.

Any other suggestions please?

The only other suggestion is to make sure you are using the correct means of identifying the type of number you are using ie. NIE or NIF rather than DNI.

The Endesa web site is notoriously user-unfriendly.

Click on the arrow on the right hand side of the box that displays NIE/NIF.

You will get a drop down box with other options.

Select Tarj. Residencia and enter your NIE.

Telefonica have the same options which always confuses people..

HOORAY!! Sid tried your suggestionand it was successful thanks so much, and also thanks to everyone else for your help, you definately cracked for me; my OH is now a happy man, he now says I have to tackle getting a water bill sent to us!!
