Despite having a hectic morning we managed to visit the next town to us, to buy a few last minute items at Mercadona....
I wish that we hadn't bothered !
I've never seen it so busy, packed to the gunnels with harrassed husbands pushing trolly loads of food and drink, whilst their worried looking wives piled more and more 'must haves' into the trollies...
We quickly retreated clutching a jar of tomato jam, a box of truffas and numerous other non-essential goodies,...we didn't get what we went in for...gave that quest up as a bad job...!
What is it with last minute shoppers....the shops will be open again ..in a day or two...won't they ?....

Gordon...
