Baptism

We have been invited to a friend's baby's christening and to a lunch afterwards. Can anyone give advice on the usual kind of gift to give? Is it ok to give non religious gifts? Also are these events 'dress up' occasions?

They like envelopes with money in :D Yes they are quite dressy.
