Royal Wedding
Re: Royal Wedding
Not a Royalist at all,I take it or leave it.
But!!!!
Nobody does it like Britain when it comes to pageant.
Really stunning, and whatever you think about Royalty and the hangers on,Great Britain is still Great.
Nobody does it better.

I have to agree. When it comes to pomp, GB plc does it best.
(I sneaked a wee peek at the highlights)

Shame Beatrice & Eugenie seem to have picked up their mothers dress sense. What on earth was that thing Beatrice had on her head I thought Victoria Beckham looked a bit Goth. And I so wish the Archbishop Of Canterbury would shave that scruffy beard off and have a good haircut.
Aside from those negative comments thought it all went very well, bride looked very elegant and lovely, and yes we do these things in great style, lovely to see all those people waving their union jacks.

On the news tonight they showed a verger from the Abby cartwheeling along the aisle once everyone had left!
Just heard Alan Carr say Eugene's, or was it Beatrice's hat looked like a pretzels!

It was the 1st thing that crossed my mind but fortunately I didn't comment.Devils Advocate wrote:Can't comment on your Bridesmades being lovely comment, I've been shouted at once today for that. I came in out of the garage for a brew and just commented that one looked like a little gargoyle.......I'm now firmly locked in the doghouse with no chance of escape before Monday at least it seems

Thought kate looked very classy and so did here sister, fergies daughters looked awful, as did camerons wife she had no handbag or hat and a grotty dress on, , but was a bit worried when a friend of mine sent a photo he took of someone in the crowd with a large placard saying KATE LOVES WILLY !!
will have to keep and eye on that one.

Re: Royal Wedding
I have to say I'm a bit of a softie and I shed a small tear watching the lovely couple in the church.
Although a mate of mine called the whole thing "The World Cup for birds!!!"
I had a Spanish friend call me yesterday telling me how wonderful it must be for to have a new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and a beautiful royal wedding etc etc.
When I said that it didn't directly affect my because I'm a Dubliner, she replied, "Of course it does. He was married as a member of The Irish Gaurds and you're Irish arnt you??"
I thought that at 15 cents a minute on the mobile the best answer to this statement was, "Of course, its great, isn't it"
Still, its nice to see some happy news on the box for a change.....

This is his cousin Gerorge (Diana's nephew) son of her sister Sarah, and apart from being a bit fatter, he's a dead ringer for Harry. So perhaps the ginger hair runs in the family, and your suggestion is wide of the mark. Unless a certain major was there as well.markwilding wrote: I too think that Harry looks very little like Charles and a lot like a certain Major with red hair

OK he has some Spencer family genes but nothing indicates Windsor.
Re: Royal Wedding
You could also say that William has the obvious Windsor family genes but nothing indicates Spencer.
