Tottenham
Re: Tottenham
as the prisons are full, and having peolple in prison also has certain costs to it I suggest all those arrested are put onto an island, nothing will be provided with no authorities on the island to overlook them,so no costs.... just let them get on with it and look after themselves....one place on the island could be offered to the Norwegian govt and reserved for Breivik, who would be allowed to bring his weapons with him to the island.

Re: Tottenham
The island idea is good but with one addition.
For every thousand on the island supply just 990 sleeping bags, 990 food rations and so on
Let them fight it out amongst themselves and then when there are only 800 left send in 790 more food parcels

Re: Tottenham
problem no is most of us here will now be given 4 years on the island for inciting violence because of our posts on the internet.....I´m not sure than 4 years for a facebook post is really correct.

Would you rather see the perpetrator killed or an innocent member of the public or police officer?Mowser wrote:You don't really want the UK to emulate America do you?
Every Police Officer should be armed in the UK, the moment a firearm is necessary may arrive at any second for law enforcement officers.

I think this is a knee-jerk reaction to the riots. I would bet good money these sentences will be reduced on appeal. The kid that killed the 68 year old won't even get 4 years!

Re: Tottenham
Julian, If the people on facebook had taken up the offer of joining theses two and people had been killed and people futures ruined, then what sentence would they get then, when the damage was done, I hope it will serve a deterrent.

Re: Tottenham
none of that happened julie so we will never know
4 years in prison for writing on facebook seems a bit OTT to me.
you forgot to add that their posts could have led to a third world war, so maybe 4 years is too short

Re: Tottenham
I would agree with the 4 years if they gave the same to UK muslims who are inciting people to bomb and kill "infidels" on the web.
Re: Tottenham
ok, let´s go down the muslim road again
