Not such a good Christmas!

APARIV dog rescue centre have been hit hard this year by some very nasty people.

First a collection tin was stolen from one of the shops. Unfortunately it was pretty full (I know it should have been emptied).

Then the shop found they had accepted a number of fake notes (I know they should have been checked). A scanner is now on the Christmas list.

Then to make things worse, the landlord of their shop at Rincon has shut the premises at very short notice and having first collected the rent for the month. What a lovely thing to do just before Christmas!

The shop at Torre del Mar is still open, thank goodness.

This all means of course, that the money raised for the refuge this Christmas is not going to be very much.

I hope things improve asap for you. We are volunteers for our local rescue centre 'El Cpricho' in Baza. Its always an uphill struggle without these sort of knock backs. Youre doing a fantastic thing and im sure that its ok to say, that on behalf of 'El Capricho' we wish you all the best.

I wonder how many of us here are volunteers at dog/cat refuge´s? It is one of the best things I have done, smelliest and sad too, but mostly enjoyable.
