What's up Lavanda...read something you don't agree with. I see one or two are off message. Instead of asking Cid to close the thread why not stop reading it

Katy — off message because I'm not sat on this forum all day as I have a life but I miss the page-turn so the posts are disconnected — as if anyone cares or is that picky. :?

Just had an e-mail from waitrose, 2 meals for a tenner tomorrow. Starters include a tray of Spanish tapas, chilli prawns. Also do 4 shops of £30 and receive a £15 voucher.

Spend £120 and get a £15 voucher? Why don't they just lower their prices instead, oh I know, then people would be free to spend the money they'd save in other shops instead, plus Waitrose wouldn't get the "extra" people would spend on top of the voucher cost. And lower prices might affect their "reassuringly expensive" image.

When I was selling my house, the agency reckoned it took about 20 viewings to get a sale.
If you're not getting viewings - i.e. less than 2 or 3 a month, the price is too high. If you do get viewings but no follow-on interest, there's a problem with the property. (Though EA's, being utter weasels, would never tell you that)

I think it depends on area too. Very split the UK. Hardly anything stays on the market over 3 weeks around here but it took a relative in the North 4 months to sell. First time buyers increased by 20% last month so that usually kick starts the market when people start moving up.

A Spanish Agent said on the news yesterday they can't sell them even with 50% off. So has to be something outstanding about a property to sell at all.
