I bought amoxycillin otc in November, but I must say that the pharmacist does remember me although I only visit once/twice a year.

I normally take my Empty Hypertension Boxes in to my Local Farmacia and they either give me 60 Tablets or 30 Tablets depending on type of drug I am using. Gastric Reflux Drugs usually supplied with 28 Tablets. Hypertension Drugs range from E2.50 up to E23.45 for Moxon. Nexium is E23.45

Hope this helps

As an update, we have had real problems getting my husband's phenobarbital. Apparently there are restrictions on these drugs and they can only be prescribed by a doctor and then only 1 pkt of 30 tablets of 15mg on one prescription. My husband has to take 30mg 3 times a day so for 15 days supply (or 3 prescriptions which she managed to stetch to with the local pharmacy) cost us 52.5 euros for 15 days including her fee and 10 euros for each prescription and 2.50 euros at the pharmacy for each box. So for a month this will cost us 105 euros.

I am thinking of returning to the UK for his usual 2 months supply as it is just so inconvenient having to trot down to the doctors and then the pharmacy every 15 days and it would pay for the flight back to the UK if we picked up his medication whilst we were there.

Does anyone else do this ?
