Campo Steve

Postby ajtg1952 » Sat Jul 30, 2016 12:10 pm

I'm sure many regular posters will have noticed Campo Steve hasn't been on the Forum for a while.

Steve has been battling a series of brain tumours over the last four years. He's had two operations and the last one did a bit of damage to his motor skills, but he was doing alright and recovering. Unfortunately, the tumour has returned and further operations are not possible. He and his wife have gone back to the UK to be nearer their daughters and grand children. He is getting a lot of support now and has good and bad days.

Very Sad News - I and many others on the forum have greatly enjoyed Campo Steve's contributions over the years. My OH and myself wish him all the best care and attention and hope he does not find the UK too chilly! but can find comfort with the family around him.

Very sad. A good enough reason for all of us to enjoy what time we have left and not worry to much about Brexit etc.

So sad. He has been a constant contributor to this forum even when he was suffering health problems.

Hopefully, with the support of family and friends in the UK, he will have many more days of happiness.

I've been in touch with Steve over the years, mostly via pm, and I'm so sorry to see he has got so much worse. My heart goes out to his family, who will be going through a tough time now, and I wish them all the best.

Sad news indeed. It is such a painful (for the friends and relatives) condition, just watching the relentless progress of the problem.
Just enjoy what time you have left and focus on your good memories.

When I was helping Steve move out his Campo house down to their village house in Benamargosa about a year ago, we drove past your house and Steve said, "I always meant to meet up with Peter for a pint"

That's much better news, he has gone through such a lot. I hope he and his family get to spend much more time together.
