French Dishwasher

Postby eveyon » Fri Oct 06, 2017 12:59 pm

I bought a second hand dishwasher from a seller on Facebook two weeks ago. The first time we used it was fine. After that cant get any water through. Seller has no manual and I have spent hours trying to find information about it on the Internet. If as it seems it is the water inlet valve and we can't find an original one, can we use a compatible one.

Most of these appliances have a small gauze filter just inside the water inlet port. Check it hasn't clogged up with calc as soon as it was used. External filter is a good idea for DW, WM etc.

Google the model. The instruction manual will be online to download.

Perhaps if you had given some real information - maker, model, serial number etc - all of which should be on an engraved plate on the back of the machine, you might have got some help? This is a bit like saying "my car has broken down, what is wrong".

Didn't ask anyone to tell me what was wrong with it.merely if I could use a compatible water inlet house if I could not find an original one.

most of these fittings are interchangable, i assume because it worked ok first time it just blocked pipe/hose.

No, you didn't ask about a hose (? house), just a water inlet valve.
On that basis, I offered something to look at.
If you ask a question, don't complain when someone offers an answer.

TorreDelAguila. You are quite right I did not ask about hose (house) i did thank all those people who gave helpful answers. It was the ones with silly answers I was referring to . I genuinely needed advice not silly remarks. Thank you again for your helpful comments.

Its an open forum. You need to lighten up. People are only having a bit of banter. If you can’t take that you should stop posting.
