Cockroaches

In the space of 3 weeks I have encountered 2 single cockroaches in my apartment, how do I deal with a possible infestation ? are there simple solutions short of bringing in a professional, thanks, Al.

Yes, wash the floors properly!!!

You can get "anti-insect" floor cleaner in most decent supermarkets or hardware stores. KH7 do a version.
We.ve been using equivalent for years with excellent results. No ants, cockroaches, etc. Came home after an absence of 3 months recently to find one cockroach dead outside the door. Yes, wash outside the door also.
