Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
According to the new figures published today, the infection ratio per 100k in Vélez-Málaga has shot up to 1,053 now, so I expect to see all non essential businesses here closed after this coming Sunday (I don't think they can do it earlier because it has to be published in the BOJA).

I think Rincon has just gone over the 1000 also. I thought we had this under control.

Cada lunes y jueves se actualizarán estos datos y las restricciones entrarán en vigor miércoles y sábado, a las 00:00 horas.
https://www.canalsur.es/portada-2808.html
So if Canal Sur are correct the new restrictions start at midnight Tuesday...I.e. 38 hours from now

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Just been talking with some friends. His mum and dad live in the nearest village to us. At new year twenty youngsters had a party and got infected then gave it to parents. Some are now quite ill but none have died yet. Who would have thought could have happened!

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Shame that happened....I've always said if this was a Virus which affected the young and children and not the elderly or those who are vulnerable then this would have been a whole different ball game...No one likes to see their child/brother/sister/grandchild nephew or niece ill or in danger...A Save the children slogan would have had a massive impact and people would have been so protective. I would bet every penny that the virus would be more controlled than it is now.
Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Very true but as we all know youngsters can be very selfish.
Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Torrox has gone over the 500 on todays update so restrictions there from wed i guess. Figures up on nerja aswell supposedly due to an illegal party where someone who knew they were postitive still went and spread it around.
Its ok living somewhere with low figures but if everywhere around you is shut down then....

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Up until now we haven't had restrictions but as you say elusive, not a lot of places we can go as Velez is full lockdown and that's where my hairdresser is plus El Ingenio and most of my friends. So even if I could have gone out there weren't many places I could go anyway. Is there an end in sight for this current municipality lockdown, or is it ongoing into the future with regular updates?

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Juanma Moreno and the BOJA both say this is the case until further notice. The BOJA basically says the 500/1000 limits are in place until the BOJA is re written to say otherwise...maybe it said until end of state of alarm I can't remember exactly.
