Premier League / Covid

Postby jonbar.1 » Mon Dec 20, 2021 7:23 pm

Lots of football matches have been postponed because of Covid.
Could anyone explain to me why it's only the Premier League?? ( Not the Championship, league one etc)
Are expensive players more vulnerable?
Google has no answers.

Whole of League 2 programme was cancelled Saturday. Maximum wage is about £5000 a week so nothing to do player value.

As you can see from this many matches from all 4 main leagues were cancelled. The Premier league lost 6 matches over the weekend and 4 went ahead.
Click into Sunday's tab and you can see the women's game was hit too

Of course if you are a top tennis player, you can get into Australia without being vaccinated ( allegedly ) in spite of them having some of the toughest rules on this.

Novac has used a medical loophole but he hasn’t even admitted wether he is jabbed or not.

Used to think he was a decent bloke, now I think he is just another irresponsible jerk.

Sport and media celebrities have managed to travel freely throughout the world since first lockdown. If Australia is so strict they should not have held the tournament.

Anyway Novac is in unfamiliar surroundings in a covid isolation hotel for 3 nights. I bet he wished he’d stayed at home in Dubai.

Australia have always allowed certain people to enter "on the basis of potential benefit to the economy" . Nasty Katy Hopkins was allowed to appear in their Big Brother but got deported and fined for openly flouting the rules and then bragging on social media. Ironic really, when you think about her views regarding foreigners.

Seems he is free to leave the country at any time. Bit rich his parents saying he is being held hostage.
