An interesting article Katy, thank you for adding it.

Over the years I've been lucky to meet a few of the men who fought in Spain with the International Brigade, I heard a few harrowing tales..
They were totally untrained and ill-equipped so some didn't stand a chance, but I have to say...brave men.

I have a few Civil War artefacts, including some original posters and hope to be able to put together enough items for a decent display.
A few years ago very few people in Spain spoke about the Civil War, but now there is quite a big following, mainly young people.
Recently they have exhumed the bodies of some of the fighters in my village, very controversial..
Saludos,
Gordon

Interesting to get some background thanks. Do you or anyone remember the old man and van who was in large Fuengirola market about 20 years ago. Van draped in Spanish and Falangist flags . Had a loudspeaker playing the old fascist marching songs. Police never bothered him. He sold lots of momentos.
Cara Al Sol I remember. I liked it as a kid, didn’t know the background. Grandad had an old 78 record.
Good version here with English translation
