mountainlass

Postby Lavanda » Sat Jul 15, 2023 2:55 pm

Mountainlass passed away yesterday after a valiant three year battle with cancer. I first met her and her OH through the forum when they were looking for somewhere in Spain for their early retirement. They settled in Extremadura not 20km from where I live and mountainlass quickly embraced the Spanish way of life, learning the language and settling down to enjoy life. She became a classroom assistant in the local school helping students with their English and her good humour, lively intelligence and hilarious irreverence won her many friends. She leaves her OH, two daughters, a grandson and a big hole in life here. She will be missed.

Lavanda, I'm sorry to hear that. I never came across her, but it sounds like she was a good friend, and as you say, she will be missed. My condolences to you & her family

Thank you, Chrissie. She didn't post much once she had actually moved here but did pop in occasionally.
