Almuñécar Report

Lovely and sunny in the day time, cold in the evenings. Sweater at least, possibly jacket and sweater. And I use:

which is the Spanish Meteorological service.

According to Silver you can sit outside in the evenings, all winter, in just a T-shirt on CDS! :D You must be getting soft! :D

I was out walking my dog at 07:00hrs this morning in shorts and a t-shirt. It may be chilly but it`s not exactly freezing cold. Have to put a jacket it on on my motorcycle now though.
Oh Yes! another day in paradise!

I was walking the dogs at 6.15pm yesterday and the thought crossed my mind that in the UK it would have been dark at 5pm. I was in short sleeves and I have thin blood. It made me realise that (re. other thread do you want to go back to UK) the climate is one of the main reasons I am here.

Wouldn't sit out later in the evenings though its too chilly. Do think Oct and first part of Nov have been warmer than average.

Best of luck - the long range charts look pretty awful for the next 2 weeks - very unsettled and wet.

Of course any forecast more than 5 days ahead is statisticaly more likely to be wrong than right! On that basis it is bound to be warm and sunny - we shall see!

frank..There is a lot of controversy regarding the spelling/reforming the spelling of the English language. People have been complaining about the irregular spelling of English for at least 500 years. About a century ago, the push for reform intensified on both sides of the Atlantic. Various boards and associations were formed in the United States and Britain. Money was raised. Governments were lobbied. High-profile writers like Mark Twain, Arthur Conan Doyle, Alfred Tennyson and George Bernard Shaw campaigned for change.

Your spelling and grammar are fantastic, your reading however, is not so hot...if you must quote me..please do so without twisting the words.

True!

If you are asked what the weather will be like tomorrow, if you answer 'Like today', you will be correct over 70% of the time.

Where do I get these useless bits of information?

All well and good all this nice weather but lets be honest the wind is a bit keen of late. However, have you noticed that when you go into the larger stores, malls what have you, the heating is on full blast. A good example is La Caniada, you walk in in your sweater with almost a dew drop on the end of your nose and by the time you have reached Wallis you are suffering from tropical heat stroke. And whats more, do our women folk notice? Mine doesnt, she attacks the shoe and clothing stores with gusto, fully clothed whilst I am looking for a quiet corner to strip off some clothing!! [no I am not a flasher!!!!]
