festivals and busking

Postby pane » Mon Nov 21, 2005 7:41 pm

Hi,
I am a puppeteer, performer. I saw on the web that there are possibilities for busking and Carnival festivals going on in Cadiz, but I could not find any links for contacting the organizers, or info on busking permits and stuff.
I was wondering if someone can help me with this matter?
I real appreciate it.
Thanks a lot,
Pane

Hi pane

If you haven’t already tried it, the town hall maybe a good place to start.
In my local town, before the fiestas, there is an auction of pitches for the various, market type stalls, eateries or entertainments, all organised by the town hall.

Good luck gretch

I think you're right Gretch, I know several street performers who have told me the same thing, Ayuntamiento, I think!!

In my part of the Costa Tropical two or three talentless East European groups of wandering minstrels seem to survive by busking.

Anyone with talent should do OK.

My own experience is that if you are out busking on a regular basis then eventually and often fairly soon - people will offer you proper paid work.
I don?t do drugs. I get the same effect standing up really fast.
