Retail Outlets Granada Area

Postby Jill » Wed Mar 29, 2006 12:49 pm

Hi

I need to buy a sofabed when I come out in early April. Can anyone tell me if they know of any retail outlets around the Granada area where I can choose one and take it away with me there and then.

From experience, not only do you have to wait weeks for the sofabed but they are all pretty horrendous. For some reason good taste seems to go out of the window when it comes to sofabeds. The exception is a sofa with chaise-longue which folds out to a bed, but these are not cheap.

If anyone knows differently please let me know, otherwise a trip to Ikea is necessary!

i agree with Susi, they dont keep them in stock as a rule. When I have seen them they are horrible fabric and start at about 750E to 2000E

Why not take a lilo/camp bed instead 8)

Conforama sofabeds are also pretty horrendous (in my opinion).

I ordered a couple cheap sofas from there two weeks ago and my delivery date is on or around the 13th April, so delivery is not quick either. It also cost a fortune to have it delivered.

Looked at Conforama's website and was extremely excited. It has lots of products and quite a few things I am after including sofabeds. It also says on the website that all products are available to take away immediately and they will also rent you a van! Guess this is not actually the case then :cry

You can rent their van for a deposit of 60 euros, you get the 1st hour free and 1st 60 km. Over 60k you pay about 2 euros a km and over 1 hour about 20 euros an hour. When you take the van back you get your 60 euros.

Hi

I'm extremely confused. Can you get these sofabeds off the shelf or do you have to order them?

The van sounds a great idea but no good if you've nothing to put in it!

About a 1.5 hour drive from Granada is a town called Velez-Malaga, there is a shop here called Banderas Vivar, they normaly have a small selection in stock that you can take away there and then.

I did buy a very good sofa bed a few years ago from a shop in the centre of Granada called La Oca.
Though it is very true that you have to order furniture and this usually takes 4 weeks if you are lucky.
Though I must say I ordered 2 armchairs 5 weeks ago from a furniture shop and I am still waiting for delivery!!!!!!!
